Conditions of
acceptance:
We will not accept specimens taken or procured illegally. It is the client’s
responsibility to secure and provide all required licenses, permits,
confirmation numbers and other documentation as may be required. It is the
client’s responsibility to be informed of laws regarding the importation and
legality of specimens in their home state or country.
Deposits:
We require a minimum deposit of 50% when the work is left at our premises or no
later than 30 days afterwards. Larger projects may be secured with a payment
plan prior to completion. Due to seasonal workloads and freezer space we may
dispose of specimens that have not been secured with a deposit after 30 days.
Completion:
We require that mounts be paid for in full and picked up within 10 of
notification. Legally disposable Mounts not paid for in full after 30 days may
be surrendered and become property of Missouri Creek Studio. They may be sold
for the ebullience due.
Any legal disputes will be adjudicated in Adams County Illinois.
CONDITION:
Due to the care, handling or lack of, the age, physical condition and primeness
of the specimen, all work is processed at the owner’s risk. Actual assessment of
the condition cannot always be known until the specimen is thawed/ tanned or
otherwise processed.
CREDENTIALS:
We have served sportsmen and women since 1975. Our studio utilizes both
conventional taxidermy and freeze-dry preservation on small specimens. Other
services include: tanning, reproductions, rug making, and mount restoration.
With the exception of large life-size projects we consistently strive to
maintain a 6-month or less turn around time.
PRICING
We feel our prices are fair and consistent with the quality and service we
deliver to our clients. If you are seeking a cheap mount, then we suggest look
elsewhere.
Unless stated, shipping and crating is extra. Habitat and special bases along
with panels are extra unless stated. Repairs and or replacement parts or skins
are extra. Pedestal, custom poses and mount configurations are extra. Unless
stated, mounts are priced as closed mouth. Half life-size mounts are 75% of a
life-size mount.
NOTICE
Unless otherwise stated all bases, panels driftwood, additional prey species, baitfish,
extra habitat or custom poses added to your mount are charged extra.
Poses that you select for your mount are based upon the availability of
current available forms in the correct size for your mount
If major form alteration is required to closely replicate your chosen pose, the mount will
be charged at the additional shop rate of $45.00 per hour. This includes changing manufacturers stock,
closed mouth forms into open mouth, alteration of the position or size of the head or body. Special
modification of bases to incorporate a special pose will be charged as well.
Please let us know exactly how you want your mount posed. If after initial preparation and measuring,
we find that the pose is unavailable in the required size, we will contact you and give you the options
of other available poses or ask your permission to perform the necessary form alterations to meet your
original pose selection.
